BUILT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Every ice project starts with a different set of conditions.
We design and build temporary and semi-permanent ice rinks, natural-look ice surfaces and custom frozen terrain for indoor and outdoor environments. From a conventional rink installation to creating a frozen landscape in an unexpected location or challenging climate, we develop the system around the needs of the project.

Our approach combines traditional ice-building knowledge with modern refrigeration, climate-control systems and the latest ice rink materials and technology, using the right solution for the environment rather than forcing every project into the same system.
Using modern flexible rink materials and refrigeration technology, we can create custom ice surfaces that go well beyond the shape and appearance of a conventional rink.

That can mean creating an ice rink designed to look like a naturally frozen pond or lake, irregular and organic ice surfaces, or purpose-built frozen terrain with curves, contours and changes in elevation — similar in concept to an off-road course, but built from and around refrigerated ice.

These systems allow us to create ice environments in places and configurations that would be difficult or impossible to achieve with conventional rink construction.

Outdoor installations must account for changing temperatures, sun, wind and weather. Indoor installations can introduce their own challenges with humidity, condensation and ambient temperature.

Where conditions demand it, we can develop and source complete climate-control and dehumidification systems alongside the refrigeration system, creating an environment in which the ice can be properly built, maintained and controlled.

FEATURED PROJECT
A natural-looking frozen pond and winter landscape entirely purpose-built for the project.

Working on a tight timeline and in temperatures reaching +7°C, we constructed a custom refrigerated ice surface designed to appear as a naturally frozen pond, brought in snow to complete the environment, and maintained the ice throughout the project.

When the work was complete, the entire installation was removed and the property restored to its original condition.
